Cooishka Show Success Continues!

Now the summer show season is well underway it’s getting very busy here at Cooishka HQ as we try and get the balance between all the traveling, busy show days and the dogs getting plenty of walks and still having some fun in between.

Yesterday we attended the lovely Border Union Championship Dog Show at Kelso. This is such a great show and luckily under an hour from home, so it always makes for a lovely day out. Yesterday was made even lovelier as both our girls entered, Caoimhe, Kurlibears September Truffle at Cooishka and her daughter Meabh, Cooishka Girl From Mars, won their classes, which was wonderful, but then both went one better when Caoimhe was awarded Best Of Sex in a beautiful line up and Meabh was awarded Reserve Best of Sex. I couldn’t have felt more proud of my very special girls.

Last week we were at Malvern for the Spanish Water Dog Club Open show, where my son, Connor, who has Downs Syndrome, made his debut handling lovely Caoimhe at their first show together and won second place in their class! This is a huge testament to Caoimhe’s fabulous temperament and I’m thrilled to see that continuing in her babies.

At the same show, Meabh won her junior class and was awarded Reserve Best of Sex, which is an amazing achievement when she is still so young. I’m also so pleased as Meabh is really enjoying her show days now and we have such a lovely time working as a team in the ring.
