What a lovely day out at the Ladies Kennel Association Championship Dog Show. My lovely Bo stayed at home with family to keep Auntie Fancy company while we travelled to Stafford with Meabh and Fiadh, who were entered and Caoimhe, who came along for company and because she is just always the best girl and no trouble to take along anywhere. She also loves an outing and there are usually treats involved!
I love this show as it’s the last Championship show before Christmas and always has such a lovely atmosphere and the organisers and committee do such a wonderful job. There are always plenty of trade stalls for ‘essential’ purchases like pigs ears too.
Fiadh, ShCh Prizelands Fondant Fancy at Cooishka JW, had a ball in the ring and won her open class and then went on to win seventh CC and Best of Sex!
The absolute star today was Meabh, Cooishka Girl From Mars, who has taken a bit more time to mature than her brother, but yesterday showed she is now more than ready for the show ring, winning a quality puppy class and Best Puppy in Breed. This qualified us to compete in the extremely competitive Gundog Puppy group, which includes all the Gundog Best Puppies competing against each other for the top four Gundog puppies. I am absolutely thrilled and delighted that the judge thought highly enough of my lovely homebred girl to award her Gundog Puppy Group 4!
I couldn’t feel prouder and all the girls were such a pleasure for the whole weekend! We had a lovely weekend seeing our dog show friends too, although it’s lovely to be home again with all of our lovely dogs!
